Studying and working in University of Maryland, I have had the opportunity to learn so much in my Information Management field. I have been trained by a number of industry professionals during my stint in Oracle and at CenturyLink, resulting in varied experiences that have made me into the skilled professional I am today.

• Automated reporting solutions to enable effective decision making with advanced usage of Excel and Looker, a BI tool.

• Installed and configured OBIEE 11g by ensuring system environment meets installation requirements and having the required database schemas loaded so the repository creation utility could run on the supported database.
• Conducted requirement gathering from clients and performed complex query-building in SQL /PLSQL to develop reports and analyses.
• Created scorecards, KPIs, prompts, pages, links, embedded content, text and agents and also implemented design, delivery and post-delivery support including bug fixing and maintenance of reports.

This internship gave me an opportunity to propose strategies, identify trends, manage data and collaborate across departments. CLOUD MIGRATION - PROJECT MANAGEMENT

The research paper covers the project lifecycle of moving data from on-site resources to the cloud; from the project initiation, the strategic modeling and execution to the project close. It uses a case study on Netflix to study the approaches and methodologies in their cloud migration project. It gives an insight to the challenges faced, the solutions, the selection process and the effects of the migration.

We developed a predictive model using Multinomial Logistic Regression to assess risk classification (& automate it in the process) in providing insurance to Prudential customers.

THE INTERVIEW ATTENDANCE PROBLEM

In this Big Data project, we developed and compared different prediction models (like ChiSquare test, Decision tree classifier etc) to find which candidates will attend the interview based on 17 relevant variables using Spark and Databricks.

ADVANCING BIG DATA WITH ECOLOGY THEORY AND DATA SCIENCE

PERCEIVE - BIG DATA CYBERSECURITY INDEPENDENT STUDY
September 2017 - December 2017
It was a collaboration research project with University of Hawaii, Manoa to identify potential security attacks and develop preventive counter-measures. I developed Foam-Tree data visualization for complex hierarchical data available in MITRE’s dictionaries (CWE) using Python (including open source libraries)to ingest the XML files, transform it into JSON and combine with JavaScript to leverage FoamTree visualization. MYTH BUSTING USING STATISTICAL ANALYSIS AND DATA ANALYSIS

The myth is - that rubbing Testudo’s nose brings good luck to the person. The myth was operationalized into null and alternative hypothesis. The independent variable and dependent variable were measured on nominal scale and ordinal scale respectively. Surveys were used to collect data from UMD students and alumni. Assessed and determined that the two sample two-tailed t-test is the most fitting statistical analysis for the myth and implemented it using R on the survey data.
